Vice President Sara Duterte revealed that four individuals, including former Comelec commissioner Rowena Guanzon, have expressed interest in joining her senatorial slate for the 2028 elections.
She announced during a brief interview in Davao City on Saturday.
Duterte confirmed that the group had informed her of their intention to be part of her ticket.
When asked whether she would consider them official candidates, she joked that she is “allergic to politicians” and suggested they should simply consider her instead.
The comments highlight early movements as potential allies position themselves ahead of the 2028 national elections.
