BONG GO URGES RAPID SAFETY CHECKS AFTER MINDANAO QUAKE

Sen. Bong Go has called for immediate safety inspections of buildings and infrastructure in earthquake-affected areas following the magnitude 7.8 quake that struck Mindanao on Monday.

He urged local government units and national agencies to prioritize structural assessments, restore basic services such as electricity and road access, and assist displaced families and workers whose livelihoods were disrupted.

Go emphasized the need for swift and coordinated government action to prevent further harm and speed up recovery efforts.

He also stressed the importance of supporting communities affected by damaged establishments and temporary closures.

Authorities continue to assess the full impact of the disaster across multiple regions in Mindanao.
