Bagong Henerasyon Party-list Rep. Robert Nazal has filed House Bill No. 11572, or the proposed Filipino Family Mainstreaming Act, which seeks to make family well-being a key consideration in government policies, development plans, and public spending.
The measure would require national agencies, local government units, state universities, and government corporations to assess how their programs affect Filipino families.
It also proposes creating the National Commission for the Filipino Family under the Office of the President to strengthen coordination and accountability.
The bill would require Family Impact Assessments for major government programs and an annual report tracking public funds, service delivery, and progress in areas such as education, health, housing, and child development.
Nazal said the measure aims to ensure that prioritizing Filipino families is reflected in actual funding, services, measurable results, and government accountability.
