Senator Paolo “Bam” Aquino IV called on Filipinos to unite and continue the vision of his late uncle, Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., for good governance amid ongoing corruption controversies.
He appealed during the wreath-laying ceremony marking Ninoy Aquino’s 42nd death anniversary at NAIA Terminal 1.
Aquino highlighted that his uncle fought for good governance and social equality, goals that remain unfulfilled as issues like questionable flood control projects surface.
He stressed that meaningful reforms require collective effort and unity, not just the work of one person.
Aquino also reminded Filipinos to honor Ninoy’s legacy and sacrifice, which helped restore democracy in the country.
