The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) arrested 369 individuals for cybercrimes in the first quarter of 2025 following 360 police operations.
The suspects were allegedly involved in offenses such as selling registered SIM cards and prohibited devices like text blast machines and IMSI catchers.
Additionally, the PNP ACG reported a 39% decrease in voyeurism cases, from 141 in 2024 to 86 in 2025.
The drop in voyeurism incidents is attributed to increased public awareness about the risks of sharing explicit content online.
The anti-cybercrime unit’s efforts to educate the public are believed to have contributed to the decline in these types of crimes.
