Kaway’an EcoPark in General Trias, Cavite, has been named one of TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places of 2026, making it the Philippines’ sole entry on the prestigious list.
The bamboo-themed eco-tourism destination was recognized for its unique design, sustainable features, and nature-inspired attractions.
Opened in December 2025, the park features the Marilag Grand Pavilion, the Marajuyo Bridge, and activities such as boating, birdwatching, horseback riding, and yoga.
Developer CitiHomes Builder and Development Inc. said the project highlights bamboo as a symbol of resilience and climate-resilient design.
The ecopark is also seeking accreditation from the Department of Tourism as a flagship eco-tourism destination.
