Tennis star Alex Eala has been named to TIME magazine’s 2026 TIME100 Next list, recognizing her as one of the world’s rising influential figures.
The 21-year-old Filipina was included among 100 individuals highlighted for making a notable impact in their respective fields.
Tennis legend Rafael Nadal, Eala’s former mentor, praised her ability to learn, improve, and remain humble despite her growing success.
Eala has also attracted large crowds from the Filipino diaspora, including a sold-out opening match at the Canadian Open in August.
She recently reached a career-high world No. 18 ranking and won a WTA 500 title at the Mubadala DC Open.
