Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian expressed hope that Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa will attend the bicameral conference committee meetings on the proposed P6.793-trillion 2026 national budget.
Dela Rosa, listed as one of the Senate’s 11 conferees, has been absent from the Senate since November 10.
Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate finance committee, said they are coordinating with Dela Rosa’s staff and providing necessary information for his participation.
As vice chairman of the committee, Dela Rosa’s inclusion in the bicam panel follows Senate tradition.
Other Senate members in the bicam include Sens. Mark Villar, Pia Cayetano, JV Ejercito, Loren Legarda, Kiko Pangilinan, Erwin Tulfo, Camille Villar, Bong Go, and Imee Marcos.
