₱100 CINEMA TICKETS SET AS PH MARKS FIRST NATIONAL CINEMA DAY

Moviegoers can watch films in theaters for just ₱100 on September 12 as the Philippines holds its first National Cinema Day.

Organized by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the one-day event will offer the special rate for regular screenings of local and international films at participating cinemas nationwide.

Advance ticket sales began September 10 through cinema box offices, official websites, mobile apps, and authorized ticketing platforms, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The initiative is supported by various film and government agencies and aims to encourage Filipinos to return to theaters amid the growing popularity of streaming platforms.

CEAP President Irene L. Jose said the event seeks to highlight the unique experience of watching films on the big screen with an audience.
