SB19 has been named one of the Philippines’ newest tourism ambassadors as the Department of Tourism seeks to promote the country’s culture and destinations through the group’s global influence.
Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay said SB19’s growing international fan base provides a valuable platform to attract more visitors and strengthen ties with the Filipino diaspora.
The group welcomed the appointment, saying it is honored to represent the Philippines and share Filipino culture through its music and global presence.
The partnership was launched with the DOT’s “Galingbayan” initiative ahead of SB19’s historic performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
SB19 joins fellow P-pop group BINI in the DOT’s roster of tourism ambassadors, highlighting the role of Filipino artists in promoting the country worldwide.
