The Department of Tourism (DOT) has named popular girl group BINI as its newest tourism ambassadors during a courtesy call in Makati City.
Tourism Secretary Maria Bernardita “Dita” Angara-Mathay praised the group for their ideas, talent, and influence on young audiences, saying they can help guide public engagement on tourism.
BINI leader Jhoanna Robles said the group is excited to collaborate with the DOT and share ideas to promote Philippine destinations.
The DOT noted that BINI has already been promoting Filipino culture through their music and use of traditional outfits, making them natural ambassadors for the country.
The agency also expressed plans to work with other Filipino personalities like SB19 and tennis player Alex Eala in promoting Philippine tourism globally.
