Robin Padilla on Thursday refused to disclose the whereabouts of fellow senator Ronald Dela Rosa, who is subject to an arrest order and wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Padilla told reporters that even if he knew Dela Rosa’s location, he would not reveal it.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group has recommended obstruction of justice charges against Padilla over Dela Rosa’s departure from the Senate premises on May 14.
Investigators alleged the senator’s transport was a coordinated effort to avoid detection.
Dela Rosa is being sought by the ICC over allegations of crimes against humanity linked to killings during the anti-drug campaign from 2016 to 2018.
