Despite the ongoing probe into Vice President Sara Duterte’s use of confidential funds, no impeachment efforts are currently active in the House of Representatives, according to Rep. Joel Chua. While he acknowledges that there may be grounds for impeachment, including betrayal of public trust and graft, discussions about it have not taken place. The House committee is focused on legislation, with the hearings continuing despite no representatives from Duterte’s office attending. Chua also warned OVP officers with subpoenas that they may face contempt charges if they miss the next hearing.
