The Malabon City government inaugurated a 40-foot Christmas tree at Tonsuya People’s Park on Thursday, Dec. 4, with Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, Vice Mayor Edward Nolasco, and city officials leading the lighting ceremony.
Themed “May Your Wish Come True,” the tree symbolizes the collective hopes of residents for a more inclusive and progressive Malabon.
The event recognized 21 agencies and organizations, including the Philippine Red Cross–Malabon, PNP, and medical frontliners, for their support in disaster response and community programs.
Barangays awarded in the “Search for Cleanest and Greenest Barangay 2025” were also honored, highlighting the city’s environmental initiatives.
City officials emphasized that the celebration fosters unity, gratitude, and community spirit while encouraging residents to strengthen bonds and participation for a better future.
