Hundreds of women joined the “Indak ni Juana” Zumba Party Contest at Pasay City Hall on March 8, kicking off the city’s National Women’s Month celebration.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the event promotes women’s empowerment, gender equality, and solidarity while recognizing women’s contributions to nation-building and community development.
The celebration also aims to raise public awareness of women’s rights and the importance of safe, inclusive spaces.
A total of 24 groups competed in the dance contest, with special awards given for Best in Costume, Most Participants, and Best Performer.
Cash prizes were awarded to winners, with the main champion receiving P50,000, the first runner-up P25,000, and the second runner-up P15,000.
