The House of Representatives has approved on third and final reading 12 of the 48 Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) priority bills of President Marcos, House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos announced.
The approved measures include reforms to the energy sector, waste-to-energy management, geriatric health, education, blue economy, and the Department of Water Resources, among others.
An additional five LEDAC bills have cleared committee deliberations and await input from the appropriations and ways and means panels, while 32 measures are pending Senate action.
Sandro Marcos said the House has filed over 7,000 bills and 645 resolutions, highlighting the chamber’s focus on advancing the President’s reform agenda in its first regular session.
The lawmaker emphasized that these efforts aim to implement structural reforms while ensuring proper funding and fiscal planning for the measures before they reach the plenary.
