The Philippines, as ASEAN chair for 2026, officially launched the ASEAN Tourism Sectoral Plan (ATSP) 2026–2030 during the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cebu, highlighting sustainable, inclusive, and innovative regional tourism.
The plan provides a four-year roadmap to improve visitor experience, empower tourism enterprises, and strengthen ASEAN’s global competitiveness.
Tourism ministers convened to turn the ATSP and other strategies into actionable outcomes, while discussions also included the inclusion of Timor-Leste and past sector accomplishments.
The forum featured cultural performances and the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), connecting ASEAN destinations with international buyers and promoting community-based tourism.
The ATF will also honor outstanding initiatives through the ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards, recognizing excellence in sustainability, urban and rural tourism, and MICE venues.
