Angeline Colonia won two silver medals in the women’s 48kg division of the 2026 IWF World Junior Championships in Ismailia, Egypt, after lifting a total of 177kg.
The 19-year-old Filipina placed second overall behind China’s Zailian Zeng, who secured gold with a 189kg total, while Canada’s Rebeca Groulx took bronze.
Colonia also earned silver in the snatch with an 80kg lift and posted 97kg in the clean-and-jerk, narrowly missing gold after failing her final attempt at 82kg.
Her teammates Jhodie Peralta and Prince Kiel Delos Santos fell short of the podium, finishing seventh and fifth in their respective categories.
Despite the results, Colonia’s performance highlighted the Philippines’ strong showing in the junior weightlifting competition.
