The Department of Budget and Management approved the release of P716.15 million to replenish the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Quick Response Fund.
This fund supports emergency needs like food, shelter, and cash aid during disasters such as the recent Cebu earthquake.
The replenishment will help provide aid to over 424,000 families and emergency cash transfers to more than 41,000 families affected by recent cyclones.
It will also cover logistical costs for relief operations.
The funds will come from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund for 2025.
