Students can now apply for white beep cards that offer a 50 percent fare discount on LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 rides.
President Marcos led the launch of the cards at LRT-2 Legarda Station, highlighting the benefit for students on tight budgets.
The government also extended the same discount to senior citizens and persons with disabilities earlier in July.
Applicants can get their beep cards printed on the spot at any train station by presenting valid IDs and paying a one-time fee of P30.
The processing time has been reduced to three minutes, and cards can be reloaded via mobile payment for added convenience.
