SEVEN CHAMPIONS CEMENT LEGACY IN PHILIPPINE SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Seven distinguished athletes were inducted into the 5th Philippine Sports Hall of Fame during an enshrinement ceremony held on June 20 at the newly renovated PSC House inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

The honorees were Ramon Fernandez, Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco, Isidro del Prado, Adeline Dumapong, Cecil Mamiit, Bea Lucero-Lhuillier, and the late Eduardo “Eddie” Pacheco, recognized for their lasting contributions to Philippine sports.

Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick Gregorio said the inductees’ achievements have inspired generations and highlighted the agency’s commitment to preserving their legacy while developing future athletes.

The ceremony also marked the unveiling of the transformed PSC House and underscored the PSC’s efforts to expand grassroots sports through regional training centers nationwide.

The next class of Philippine Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be honored in May 2028.
