The Senate has announced its new lineup of committee chairmen, vice chairmen, and members, balancing leadership between senior and first-term lawmakers.
Sen. Erwin Tulfo was named chairman of both the Committee on Games and Amusement and the Committee on Social Justice, Welfare, and Rural Development.
Sen. Loren Legarda will lead the Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education, while Sen. JV Ejercito chairs the Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
Sen. Francis Pangilinan was appointed chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes, and Sen. Robin Padilla will head the Committee on Cultural Minorities and Muslim Affairs.
The Senate leadership emphasized that the assignments aim to ensure a balanced and functional legislative process ahead of key national debates.
