Senator Erwin Tulfo praised Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Sang Hwa for quickly investigating reports of a “no Filipino policy” at several Korean KTVs and restaurants in Angeles City and Clark, Pampanga.
Tulfo had earlier called for an inquiry into these “Korean-only” establishments, warning they could face closure if violations were confirmed.
The ambassador sent a report detailing actions taken by the Central Luzon Korean Association, including posting apologies at the establishments and ensuring the discriminatory policy would not continue.
Tulfo also commended the Korean Community Association for promising regular inspections to ensure compliance with Philippine laws.
Lee assured the senator of ongoing collaboration and swift action on any future complaints.
