Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo appeared before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Wednesday, December 3, to respond to allegations of irregularities in flood control projects.
He requested an executive session, citing concerns that his life could be at risk if his testimony were made public, and the commission approved his request.
Romulo has been accused by Curlee and Sarah Discaya of allegedly receiving kickbacks from certain flood control projects, claims he has consistently denied.
The allegations stem from investigations initially highlighted by Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto.
Romulo’s closed-session appearance aims to address the charges while ensuring his personal safety.
