Senator Bong Revilla was officially announced as the senatorial candidate for the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) during the party’s national convention on Friday.
He is the first candidate from the “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas” coalition, which includes President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and other political parties.
The announcement was made in Resolution 3, adopted at the convention held at Malacañang and led by Speaker Martin Romualdez.
In his address, Romualdez emphasized the importance of forming a strong administration alliance for the upcoming elections, aiming to represent a broad movement that reflects the aspirations of all Filipinos.
He called on party members to unite and prepare for the 2025 elections, highlighting their commitment to reforms and a better future for the nation.
