The Philippine National Police (PNP) urged affected pet owners to file complaints after 29 dead dogs and cats allegedly entrusted to a pet crematorium in Bacoor, Cavite, were found dumped in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. ordered police units in both provinces to investigate those responsible and coordinate with other agencies. Possible charges include estafa, syndicated estafa, and violations of sanitation, environmental, and consumer protection laws. Authorities are examining business permits, CCTV footage, cremation records, and recovered remains to verify whether the ashes returned to customers were authentic. Pet owners were advised to preserve receipts, cremation certificates, and transaction records as evidence.
