The Philippine National Police has increased its security personnel for the upcoming three-day rallies in Manila and Quezon City, organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) and the United People’s Initiative.
The number of officers has risen from 15,000 to 16,433, according to NCRPO spokesperson Maj. Hazel Asilo.
Security deployments may still be adjusted ahead of the events scheduled from November 16 to 18.
Police will secure key locations, including Rizal Park, the EDSA People Power Monument, the U.S. embassy, and Don Chino Roces Bridge along Mendiola.
The move aims to ensure public safety during the mass gatherings.
