PH, OMAN AGREE ON REGULAR DIALOGUE AND OFFICIAL VISITS

The Philippines and Oman agreed to maintain regular dialogue and exchange high-level visits to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, finance, tourism, education, and other key sectors.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro and Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi reached the agreement during talks on the sidelines of the 3rd Philippines-Oman Investment Forum on July 26.

The two officials also welcomed progress in negotiations on investment protection and double taxation agreements, expressing optimism that both deals will be finalized in the coming months.

Lazaro said the investment forum reflects growing economic engagement between the two countries and highlighted opportunities for stronger business partnerships.

She also welcomed Oman’s visa-free entry for Filipino tourists, saying the move is expected to boost tourism, cultural exchanges, and economic cooperation.
