Malacañang has denied reports that Education Secretary Sonny Angara and ICT Secretary Henry Aguda are facing removal from the Cabinet, saying President Marcos remains satisfied with their performance.
The rumors followed recent high-profile changes in the administration, including the replacement of former finance secretary Ralph Recto and the resignation of Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
Palace spokesperson Claire Castro emphasized that both Angara and Aguda continue to serve effectively and that no further Cabinet reshuffles are planned at this time.
Meanwhile, the House approved on second reading a bill extending the mandate of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II) until 2027 to ensure ongoing education reforms are fully implemented.
Lawmakers highlighted the need for continuity, evidence-based policies, and private sector collaboration to improve learning outcomes and align education with workforce demands.
