President Marcos has appointed Majken Anika Gran-Ong as a new undersecretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ), confirmed on February 6.
Gran-Ong, previously an assistant secretary since 2021, will oversee the Finance, Administration, and Personnel Cluster of the DOJ.
She also serves as the Overall Deputy for the Immigration and Special Concerns Cluster, the Special Deputy for Legal Services and Legislative Liaison, and the Executive Director of the Prosecution Integrity Board.
Gran-Ong has been with the DOJ since 2018 and previously worked at the Office of the President from 2016 to 2018.
She holds a political science degree from UP and a law degree from Ateneo de Manila University.
