NCRPO READIES 15,000 COPS FOR SEPTEMBER 21 RALLIES

More than 15,000 police officers will be deployed across Metro Manila to secure rallies expected on September 21, NCRPO Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said.

The NCRPO is coordinating with rally organizers and will suspend police leaves to ensure sufficient manpower for security and traffic management.

Police units from neighboring regions will also augment NCRPO personnel following a directive from PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

Authorities are coordinating with intelligence agencies to monitor potential threats and groups linked to violent protests last year.

Abrahano said police will observe maximum tolerance while protecting protesters’ right to free expression and ensuring the rallies remain peaceful.
