The Department of Education (DepEd) has scheduled a two-day wellness break for public school teachers on September 14 and 15.
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said the break will allow teachers to rest before the start of the second school term.
Regional and school division offices are directed to ensure that teachers are not required to attend meetings, trainings, school activities, or other official work during the break.
The first term under the new three-term school calendar runs from June to September, followed by the second term from September to December.
DepEd said the three-term system aims to improve basic education quality, strengthen instructional planning, and better support schools in delivering the K-12 curriculum.
