The Makati City government will release P34 million in aid to provinces and municipalities affected by recent earthquakes and typhoons.
Mayor Nancy Binay said the assistance aims to support disaster-hit communities as they rebuild their lives and infrastructure.
Cebu Province will receive P13.5 million, with funds distributed to the provincial government and several municipalities, while P20.5 million will go to 38 other LGUs across Mindoro, Masbate, Aklan, Maguindanao del Sur, Cagayan, and Romblon.
In addition to financial support, Makati deployed a 12-man search and rescue team to assist relief operations in Cebu.
The city’s aid program, approved by the City Council, reflects its ongoing commitment to swift humanitarian assistance under national disaster management laws.
