The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) has scheduled another hearing with former House Speaker Martin Romualdez on October 22 to review his affidavit from the first hearing.
ICI Executive Director Brian Hosaka said the commission wants to carefully prepare questions based on Romualdez’s statements.
Romualdez first appeared before the ICI on October 14 to discuss his knowledge of National Budget insertions and DPWH flood control projects.
During the initial hearing, he denied allegations of receiving kickbacks from government infrastructure projects.
Romualdez is implicated in a corruption scandal after accusations from a former security consultant linked to a resigned lawmaker, which he has denied.
