FAKE VOTER REGISTRATION SITE TARGETS REGISTRANTS, COMELEC ALERTS

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has warned the public about a phishing website pretending to be its online appointment system for the 2026 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

The fake site uses a Google Form and an Instapay QR code, which are not authorized by the poll body.

Comelec emphasized that voter registration is free and that it does not request or accept any payment from registrants.

The public was advised not to provide personal information, click links, or use the QR code on the fraudulent site.

Comelec cautioned that personal data could be exploited by scammers for online fraud.
