China’s new ambassador to the Philippines, Jing Quan, attended a luncheon hosted by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at the Laperal Mansion on Dec. 17.
The event, held just weeks after Quan’s arrival, included other diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, such as Chargé d’Affaires Zhou Zhiyong.
During the gathering, attendees had lunch, enjoyed wine, and toured the mansion.
The Chinese embassy expressed gratitude for the First Lady’s hospitality, while Marcos highlighted their partnership in Chinatown’s revitalization, culture, and heritage.
Quan succeeded former ambassador Huang Xilian and assumed his post in early December.
