The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has urged churchgoers to wear white every Sunday in October and November and to display white ribbons at home and in public places.
CBCP president Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David called for continued prayers and public repentance amid ongoing calamities and government corruption.
He highlighted recent disasters like typhoons, volcanic eruptions, fires, and earthquakes as reasons to seek mercy and renewal.
Prayers are being held in parishes every Sunday until the Feast of Christ the King on November 23.
The CBCP hopes this season of prayer will inspire healing, justice, and good governance in the nation.
