The 30th Panagbenga Festival opened in Baguio on February 1 with a vibrant Mardi Gras parade featuring school drum and lyre corps, under the theme “Blooming Without End.”
Young performers from Tuba Central School and Pugo Central School kicked off the celebrations with energetic music and choreography symbolizing unity, resilience, and shared heritage.
El Tribu d’ Lucban honored Cordilleran culture while showcasing Baguio’s growth and diversity through symbolic dances and visual storytelling.
Baguio Central School highlighted renewal and endurance with a performance recalling the festival’s revival after pandemic disruptions.
Additional performances by Puguis and Mabini elementary schools celebrated cultural continuity and local legends, reinforcing Panagbenga’s message of faith, unity, and the enduring spirit of Baguio.
