Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri lauded the new memorandum of agreement between the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Office of the Ombudsman, calling it a key tool to enforce the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) law.
The pact allows the Ombudsman to integrate ARTA’s case files directly into its investigations, speeding up accountability for government officials who violate service standards.
Zubiri said the collaboration will deter red tape and corruption, improve processing times at frontline offices, and reinforce compliance with the law.
He also emphasized that faster enforcement boosts public trust, investor confidence, and encourages government agencies to streamline workflows.
Zubiri congratulated ARTA and Ombudsman officials for creating a proactive partnership aimed at cutting bureaucracy and promoting efficient government services.
