Far Eastern University’s Janrey Pasaol has been named UAAP Season 88 Men’s Basketball Most Valuable Player, the Tamaraws’ first MVP since Terrence Romeo.
Pasaol led the statistical points race with 81.5 SPs, slightly ahead of La Salle’s Mike Phillips with 80.4 SPs, averaging 15.4 points, 7.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
Despite his strong performance, FEU did not make the Final Four after La Salle defeated Ateneo to secure a semifinal spot.
In the women’s division, National University’s Karl Ann Pingol is set to be crowned MVP with 93.571 SPs, dethroning two-time MVP Kacey dela Rosa.
Pingol averaged 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, highlighting her standout season for the Lady Bulldogs.
