Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco expressed his full support for the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) initiative to provide additional cash aid to pregnant women and mothers of children under two.
He welcomed the expansion of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), which aims to
improve health, nutrition, and education for poor households.
Tiangco highlighted that the DSWD’s F1KD program aligns with efforts to reduce stunting and malnutrition by offering P350 per month to eligible mothers and pregnant women.
He noted that approximately 80,000 mothers will benefit from the monthly assistance, which will help ensure healthy pregnancies and births.
Tiangco emphasized the importance of investing in primary healthcare to strengthen the public health system and safeguard Filipino families.
