The inaugural Terra Madre Asia and Pacific (TMAP) 2025 in the Philippines attracted 75,000 visitors and 2,500 delegates from 25 countries, generating P46.5 million in event sales.
Organizers credited major activities like the Street Food Exhibition, Restaurant Takeovers, Taste Workshops, and Slow Drinks initiatives for driving revenue.
The concurrent 18th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival also benefited, earning P1.4 million as chefs and participants sourced ingredients from local farmers and fisherfolk.
Event leaders highlighted that TMAP 2025 put Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and the Philippines on the global gastronomy map while promoting good, clean, and fair food.
Farmers were given free access to talks and conferences, and part of the event’s meals were donated to Indigenous Peoples, fostering community engagement.
