Billionaire Enrique Razon has filed cyberlibel complaints against suspended Cavite Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga over a January 9 Facebook post alleging Razon bribed lawmakers to support Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The complaint, lodged with the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office on January 14, seeks P100 million in moral damages and P10 million in exemplary damages for reputational harm and emotional distress.
The National Unity Party, led by Rep. Ronaldo Puno, also plans to file complaints against Barzaga for maligning its members.
Barzaga, currently serving a 60-day suspension for posting lewd content online, expressed readiness to face Razon in court.
The case highlights escalating tensions between high-profile business figures and political leaders over alleged corruption claims.
