Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III hailed Filipino teachers as the “pillars of society” during the 21st Founding Anniversary of the Schools Division Office of Cauayan City on March 13.
He expressed gratitude for educators’ role in shaping the country’s youth and emphasized that building the nation’s future is a shared responsibility among teachers, parents, and citizens.
Dy highlighted the government’s push to address classroom shortages through stronger coordination between the national government, local government units, and the Department of Education under Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara.
He noted that the recently approved Classroom-Building Acceleration Program (CAP) will fast-track the construction, repair, and upgrading of public school classrooms nationwide.
Adequate learning facilities, Dy said, will allow teachers to better focus on nurturing Filipino students’ abilities and securing a brighter future for the youth.
