Senator Christopher “Bong” Go denied any involvement in the police operations of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial anti-drug campaign.
Go rejected allegations by retired police colonel Royina Garma that he helped establish a reward system for police officers who killed drug suspects.
He clarified that his office had no role in police operations or the finances of the Office of the President.
Garma testified in a House hearing that Go coordinated with National Police Commission commissioner Edilberto Leonardo, who allegedly reported drug-related deaths to him.
Go called for an impartial Senate investigation, accusing Garma of using these claims to divert attention from her involvement in a 2020 murder plot.
