President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reassigned Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez and Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon, with the two officials exchanging leadership positions.
Lopez will head the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), while Dizon will take over the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The reshuffle is expected to bring new leadership approaches to the country’s infrastructure development and transportation programs.
Both departments oversee major government projects involving roads, bridges, airports, railways, and public transportation systems.
The changes underscore the administration’s continuing efforts to strengthen the implementation of infrastructure projects and improve public services.
