The Manila Police District announced road closures for the Black Nazarene procession (Traslacion) on Jan. 9, starting at 9 p.m. on Jan. 8 until the event concludes.
Major roads affected include Bonifacio Drive, Taft Avenue, Quezon Boulevard, Legarda Street, and McArthur and Jones Bridges.
Alternative routes have been designated to ease congestion, with specific diversions for vehicles from Mel Lopez Boulevard, España Boulevard, and other key streets.
Light vehicles, trucks, and trailers will follow separate rerouted paths to minimize traffic disruptions.
Authorities warned motorists to familiarize themselves with the closures and said additional streets may temporarily close as the procession approaches.
