Several major roads in Manila will be closed on the morning of June 12 for the 127th Independence Day ceremony at Rizal Park.
Roxas Boulevard, Bonifacio Drive, T.M. Kalaw Avenue, P. Burgos Avenue, Finance Road, and Maria Orosa Street will be closed to traffic from early morning until late morning.
Full closures will also be in effect for Katigbak Drive, Independence Road, and South Road starting at midnight until 11:30 a.m.
The MMDA has provided alternate routes for light vehicles and trucks to minimize traffic disruptions.
Over 1,000 MMDA personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure public safety during the event, and the public is advised to avoid the area and plan.
