President Marcos led the distribution of relief aid to over 2,500 residents in Cagayan affected by Super Typhoon Nando, focusing on supporting farmers hit hard by the storm.
Each beneficiary received ₱10,000 in financial assistance and a family food pack to help sustain them for a few days.
Marcos emphasized the government’s priority to aid farmers, calling for reforms in agriculture to build resilience against climate change.
He also highlighted the need to improve weather forecasting and disaster response systems for better preparedness.
