The total population of Muntinlupa and the other 16 local government units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) reached 14 million as of July 1, 2024, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority’s 2024 Census of Population.
Muntinlupa’s population grew to 552,225, an increase of 8,780 from 2020.
The NCR’s overall population increased by 517,289, or 0.91 percent, since 2020, with Quezon City remaining the most populous LGU at over 3 million residents.
Taguig saw a notable population rise, partly due to the transfer of barangays from Makati.
Meanwhile, Pateros remains the smallest LGU in the region with just over 67,000 residents.
